Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Arca is an Unbanked company based in Toronto, Canada. We build and run finance functions for scaling companies, then hand them to the finance hire who inherits them. This site is hirearca.co.

2. What we collect

• Details you send us directly: your name, email address, company, and whatever you write in an email or tell us on a call.
• Basic technical logs from our hosting provider, Cloudflare, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you requested. We use these to keep the site running and secure. We also count visits that arrive from AI assistants and search engines, and visits from their crawlers. For those we keep only the time, the page and the name of the service, not your IP address.
• Fonts on this site load from Google Fonts, which means Google sees your IP address when the page loads.
• We use Google Analytics to see how people find and use the site, such as which pages they read and roughly where visits come from. It only runs if you choose Allow on the cookie notice. If you do, it sets cookies in your browser and sends that usage data to Google. If you choose No thanks, it never loads. We do not run advertising pixels and we do not use this data to target ads. You can change your choice at any time: cookie settings.

3. How we use it

To reply to you, to run an engagement you have asked for, and to keep the site working. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with advertisers.

4. Outreach email

We sometimes email companies we believe fit what Arca does. Every one of those emails carries a working unsubscribe link. When you use it, we stop immediately and keep a record so we do not contact that address again.

5. Client work

When we work inside your finance function, we handle your company's data under the terms of the signed engagement agreement, which takes priority over this policy for that work. Nothing from a client engagement appears on this site.

6. How long we keep it

Contact details stay for as long as we are in conversation or working together. Ask us to delete them at any time and we will, unless a legal or accounting obligation requires us to keep a record.

7. Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@hirearca.co and we will respond within 30 days. We follow Canada's federal privacy law, PIPEDA, and the equivalent provincial rules where they apply.

8. Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date below and, where we have your email, tell you directly.
